About UBPARA Maharashtra State

Our History

Union Bank Pensioners & Retirees Association Maharashtra State (UBPARA Maharashtra State) was established on 01.12.2013 at Pune. Initially named "Union Bank Pensioners & Retirees Association M.S. (Excluding Mumbai)", it was later amended to the present name. An initial donation of Rs. 25,000/- was given by Late Com. Bhagwan Khirid.

The Association was registered under the Indian Societies Act, 1860 (Regd. No. Maha/965/2018/Pune dated 14.12.2018) and under the Charity Act (Regi. No. F-54577/Pune dated 29.9.2020).

UBPARA Maharashtra State is the first such State Level organization registered as a Society in the entire country (PAN India First). The Association is duly recognized by the bank.

After the merger of erstwhile Corporation Bank & Andhra Bank with Union Bank of India on 01.04.2020, our Association amended the by-laws to admit the employees of these banks as members. As of now, the Association has more than 1000+ members.

Our 17 Achievements

Landmark accomplishments since our establishment

1. First association on a PAN India basis to be registered under both the Indian Societies Act and Charity Act.

2. All annual audits completed up to the financial year 2021-22.

3. Birthday announcements for all members on social media.

4. Felicitation of staff members upon their retirement.

5. Regular get-togethers (Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly) arranged at different centers.

6. Members voluntarily donate to the association on their birthdays.

7. Maintained a dedicated team of committee members.

8. Active use of social media (Telegram) to post developments, achievements, and valuable information.

9. Established strong teams of volunteers at each district and taluka center.

10. Inclusion of family members of super senior retirees in social groups.

11. Guidance and support from All India Federation AIBOC/AIBAPARC.

12. Successfully restored pension and secured all arrears for two dismissed cases.

13. Provided flood donations to affected retirees, non-members, and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

14. Members provided voluntary assistance to many bank branches during the demonetization period.

15. Felicitated all members completing 75 years (Platinum Jubilee) at Pune and at their homes.

16. MOU signed with P.H. Diagnostic Centre and A.G. Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd. for member benefits.

17. Continuous follow-up with HI TPA, RO/FGMO/CO, and insurance companies for grievance redressal.

Our Objectives

Guiding principles of UBPARA Maharashtra State

To protect the rights and safeguard the interests of all pensioners and retirees of Union Bank of India in Maharashtra State.

To organize and unite all pensioners and retirees for collective welfare measures.

To take up matters with the Bank Management, IBA, Government, and other authorities on issues related to pension, medical benefits, etc.

To provide legal guidance and legal assistance to members in pension-related disputes.

To organize health camps, medical checkups, and digital banking awareness programs for members.

To create and manage welfare funds for providing financial assistance to needy members.

To maintain good relations with the Bank, AIBPARC, and other retiree organizations for the overall welfare.
